Health Psychology & Behavioral Medicine
Connecting Mind and Body
Health Psychology and Behavioral Medicine focus on how our thoughts, emotions, and behaviors affect our physical health—and how health problems, in turn, impact our well-being.
In simple terms, we help people—both kids and adults—cope with medical challenges, manage stress, build healthy habits, and work toward better overall well-being.

Working with a Health Psychologist
At our practice, we provide compassionate, evidence-based psychological services for individuals navigating the intersection of physical and emotional health. With specialized training in both pediatric and adult health psychology, we focus on supporting individuals and families coping with medical, developmental, and behavioral challenges.

Pediatric Health Psychology
Our primary focus is on children and families. We work closely with caregivers, educators, and medical professionals to support children dealing with:

-
Developmental challenges
-
Feeding difficulties and disorders
-
Sleep issues
-
Toileting delays or challenges
-
Medical anxiety, phobias, and treatment noncompliance
-
Adjustment to complex medical conditions, including gastrointestinal and muscular conditions, epilepsy, seizures, and the use of feeding tubes or other medical devices

We provide psychological and neuropsychological assessments, targeted interventions, and consultation services aimed at promoting health, development, and quality of life. Collaborative care is central to our model—partnering with your child’s medical team ensures that interventions are practical, coordinated, and aligned with treatment goals.
Adult Health Psychology & Behavioral Medicine

We also provide services for adults with chronic and complex medical conditions. We have developed particular expertise in working with individuals experiencing the long-term effects of Long COVID and other chronic illnesses.
Services include:

-
Health-focused psychological and neuropsychological assessment
-
Consultation with healthcare providers to support integrated care
-
Behavioral medicine interventions, including pain management, goal setting, and improving quality of life
-
GI, pain, smoking and substance use, sleep, fertility problems

Whether you are a parent seeking support for your child or an adult navigating a complex medical journey, our goal is to provide thoughtful, individualized care that supports healing and resilience.
